sweet potato smoothie
If you’ve been following my instagram lately you’ve probably seen that I’m a smoothie addict. It’s such an easy way to get a lot of veggies and nutrients into your body first thing in the AM! But sometimes I get bored of green smoothies and ALSO it’s good to eat more grounding foods like sweet potatoes and ginger in the cold months, so this smoothie is perfect for the winter. And it tastes like pie. Enjoy!
1 medium sweet potato, cooked, peeled & frozen (about 1 cup)
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup water
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I like Vega)
Pinch of salt
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of ginger
Dash of nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon Ashwagandha (optional)
1 scoop collagen (optional)
